Sounds like a good time. FYI Fluking is done for the season so don't keep any if you catch em. Most likely you will and its going to suck because those fish are super tasty. Blues will be around, weak fish and the occasional resident striper will be on the prowl. Take some plugs for topwater action, or just goto a local shop and ask them what topwater lures are working right now and buy that one. Fresh bunker chunks on a fish finder rig will be good from the surf. If your in the inlet, sea bass will be abound as well, at low tide go all the way gown to the waters edge where the rip rap (rocks) meets the water and start flipping over the smaller rocks. You will find an abundance of green crab. Tie up a three way swivel, use a 1 once sinker and some leader with a 3/0 to 5/0 hook. Tip it with the green crab and you've got the perfect meal for sea bass. You can keep anything over 12" Just toss you line in and around the rip rap . Have fun Jeff
your right, jeff. carp infest water ways and crowd out other species. what's debateable is whether or not killing five or six fish helps eradicate them. some believe these tatics only make room for more carp, and the only way to truly get rid of them is kill 'em all, and start over.
I'm just pissed 'cause I wanted to try to catch one as practice for the next shit fish derby
I diddn't go to work yesterday... I waited for the mail man on the front porch, but he didn't bring my patch. I hope to get it today !
Loch Ness huh? sounds serious. I would assume the rain you get could effect the potency. I havent added any thing to the ski hill snowmaking reservior yet. I've been tossing around throwing a few carp into the mix, but I'd hate for them to over populate, and disturb the bass population.
hey jeff. how is that pond treatment working out ? will you do many applications over the summer ? I take care of a one acre reservior at work. I've tried an enzyme that didn't work, so I had to go back to the calcium chloride. I have problems with green slime and some long grass type stuff. I'd like to use some thing more eco-friendly.
Hey are you going to burning man? That was burned in my brain but yes there were a few moments. I guess Christopher Guest set the bar pretty high with all his movies. It seemed more like one of Les's video's that almost never ends. He'll always rock in my book.
So your heading to IBSP or LBI - I haven't fished in LBI yet this year just IBSP, so I'd say go to IBSP. If you don't have a buggy pass for the year and your going with a few guys get the 3 day pass for 50 bux it's well worth it. To be able to drive up on the beach with all your gear is key. I was with Mickey and Nick last week when Mickey caught his first striper this year and that was caught in between A7 and A10 on a clam fished with a high low rig. So give IBSP a shot and go during the day (from first light to end of day). The night bite has not fully turned yet since the water is still cold.
in a pirates vs. robots party, i'm guessing we would both go with pirates. that's just my guess. everyone is a robot these days... arrrgh! i'm glad you see what i'm seeing, with the teeth jewels (good i'm not hallucinating)!
hey, i really like that picture up above.. the three of you look like pirates. it almost looks like there are jewels in your friends' teeth. that might just be my imagination tricking me.
I like you porn stache Jeff. Let me just warn you about the Gener show tomorrow. Bring some tp cuz you're gunna shit your pance. I saw them on Saturday in Asbury and they blew me away. Only 3 Ween tunes were played; Stallion Part 5 (The one on All Request Live), I Fell in Love Today and Blue Balloon. The rest were either Ween rejects? or covers like: Mr. Sandman (Yes, Bring me a dream, turn on your magic beam Mr. Sandman) and Sledge Hammer by Peter Gabriel - fucking AMAZING. Papa Gene looks like he's been eating real good while on this break but sounded fuckin awesome. Scott on guitar was perfect, Joe Russo destroyed the drums (Especially on Blue Balloon) and Dave always rules. You are going to have a blast man. Enjoy! Here are some pics. I plan on posting some videos on my page soon.

Good luck in the bass derby, Jeff
