i have had lil time to fish, too...haven't caught anything for weeks! tried the shrimp jelly...nothin. this last weekend the people across the river were catching em like crazy...us, not so much! lol drivin me mad! they were using real grubs. all i want is a nice fried filet...well a few other things, but as far as fishin goes! C; we have company comin to stay w/us for a couple weeks in two weeks. they are from the east coast and crave trout! gotta take live bait next time. better not disappoint!

At 7:24am on May 14, 2009, mothofthecosmos said…: well, i got more #3 blue fox lures today...let's see if i can keep em more than a cast or two. lol last time we both lost them in oh, about a minute! for some reason they seem to snag more. i guess that's great for catchin trout! i was thinkin about puttin on the single barb hook, but then it's less likely i'll hook a fish lip. we go through amazing amounts of lures. picked up a shitload of panther martin spinners today, too. they are on sale for $1.99 at bi-mart...also got shrimp smelly jelly and some plastic worms. stocked up for awhile...here fishie, fishie

it was snowin a lil yesterday, but i think that might of been the last time this year. it's 40 degrees at 4:20am now and it's suppose to be 80 degrees all weekend! oh ya...campfires and smores are in the near future! take it easy.

At 2:26am on March 31, 2009, mothofthecosmos said…: nothing yet. today someone said the salmon fly hatch isn't for another month and a half! i'm still gonna go out as much as i can. i have wed/thurs/fri off, so i'll be out there later this week. have you gotten anything? i'm still learning the ways and the rules of oregon fishin...nothin like ohio! hahahaha but it beats the shit outta the old maumee river or lake erie back home! pollution is so bad there you can't eat the fish or drink the water...due to nitrites draining off the farmland. anyway...i'm still learning the hot spots and honing my technique!
