All Fucked Up

Did the New York Giants actually just win the super bowl or did I imagine the whole thing? That was some funny shit, you gotta admit. Well, we're home from our Southeast tour, it was 75 percent of the best time in the world and 25 percent the worst thing I've ever been a part of. Everything was great for me until our day off in Orlando, that's when I picked up the flu from Claude Coleman jr. I've been sick on tour before but nothing compared to this; as I type this I'm laying on the sofa under a blanket, all fucked up on Sudafed and a bunch of other over the counter meds. I could barely stand up for the Orlando gig, hallucinating from a fever. The next night in St. Pete I felt a little better and I thought we had a great gig regardless, but the final night in Lauderdale I was ready to crash hard and barely made it to the finish line. We ended up getting a few hours of sleep and had an early flight yesterday. The plane ride ended up making my head and ears feel like they were gonna explode and now I'm worse than I was 4 days ago, just completely sick and coughing up green gobs of crap. Horrible. Anyway like I was saying, the tour was filled with the highest highs and the lowest lows, but overall it was a blast until the end. Next comes Australia and New Zealand, and then finally Europe. It seems like we might scratch Red Rocks off our schedule in favor of a 2 night stand in Denver, and also we were forced to shorten our European tour because the American dollar is so weak against the Euro right now that we have to stand on our heads just to break even. In other news, people seem genuinely stoked about the idea of a ween festival and we are investigating some possible locations, hopefully we'll have enough time to put something together for the end of the summer. If anyone in Australia wants to do some serious ocean fishing please drop me a line--last time we were there I went out for Tuna ( I caught one) and also did some freshwater fishing with some friends. I'd like to do some more of the same, surf fishing maybe? On a local level, if anyone around here wants to do some foul weather fishing, drop me a line.
